On 2 April 2012, the Registry r ceived an electronic mail from the e 2nd Applicant’s Counsel, forwarding submissions dated 31 March 2012, regarding the postponement of the public hearing. 38. By a letter dated 3 April 2012, the Registrar acknowledged receipt of the 2nd Applicant’s Counsel’s submissions on the postponement of the public hearing. 39. By separate letters all dated 12 April 2012, the Registrar informed the Parties of the Court’s decision taken at its 24th Ordinary Session held from 19 to 30 March 2012, that the public hearing on the case would be held on 14 and 15 June 2012 and that the matters would be heard on both the preliminary objections and the merits. 40. On 13 April 2012, the Registry of the Court received an electronic mail from the 2nd Applicant’s Counsel acknowledging receipt of the Registrar’s letter dated 12 April 2012 informing the Parties of the new dates for the public hearing. 41. By a letter dated 4 May 2012, the Registry informed the Executive Council of the African Union and State Parties to the Protocol, through the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, of the dates for the public hearing of the Applications.
