HON. MR. JUSTICE
MOHAMMED
IBRAHIM, CBS
Justice Ibrahim is the Chairperson of the Judiciary Committee on
Elections and a member of the Judicial Service Commission. He is a
Judge of the Supreme Court of Kenya and has served in the Court since
his appointment in June 2011. Prior to his elevation to the Supreme Court,
Justice Ibrahim served as a Judge of the High Court of Kenya, a position he
was appointed to in May 2003. He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB)
from the University of Nairobi. On 11 January 1983, he become the first
member of the Kenyan-Somali community to be admitted as an Advocate
of the High Court of Kenya. He previously worked with Kituo Cha Sheria and
was a member of the Board of the Legal Education and Aid Programme
(LEAD). He was also a founding trustee of the human rights organisation,
Mwangaza Trust, a position he held until 1994.
Justice Wanjala is a Judge of the Supreme Court of Kenya and the current
Director of the Kenya Judiciary Academy. Before his appointment to the
Supreme Court of Kenya, Justice Wanjala served as a Law Lecturer, and,
later, Senior Law Lecturer, at the University of Nairobi for a period 19
years. Justice Wanjala is a holder of an LLB from the University of Nairobi;
a Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law; a Master of Laws Degree
(LLM) from Columbia University, New York; and a Doctorate in Law (PhD)
from the University of Ghent, Belgium. He has many publications to his
credit, including books and articles in the fields of law, human rights and
governance, and has published both locally and internationally. Justice
Wanjala is also a member of the International Commission of JuristsKenya Chapter and the Kenya Anti-Corruption Academy.

WANJALA, CBS
Justice Musinga is a holder of an LLB from the University of Nairobi and
was admitted to the Roll of Advocates in 1988. He was appointed a Judge
of the High Court of Kenya in October 2003 and elevated to a Judge of the
Court of Appeal in November 2012. A distinguished jurist, Justice Musinga
was named Jurist of the Year by the International Commission of JuristsKenya Chapter in 2011. Justice Musinga is the current President of Kenya’s
Court of Appeal. He also serves as the Chairperson of the Performance
Management and Measurement Steering Committee and the ViceChairperson of the Judiciary Committee on Elections. He is also a Fellow
of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
