ELECTIONS OF MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT OF UKRAINE, 2019 Campaigning is prohibited after midnight of the last Friday before election day and may not be conducted after election day (part 2 of Article 70 of the Law on Elections of the Members of Parliament). Campaigning shall include activities aimed at persuading voters to vote or not vote for a candidate or political party in the election (part 1 of Article 68 of the Law). Information Posters The PEC must place information posters of parliamentary candidates created by the Central Election Commission at the entrance to the polling station. These posters must list candidates in alphabetical order of political party on the ballot and alphabetical order for candidates. The poster also lists the candidate’s election program while denoting the surname, first name, patronymic name, year of birth, occupation, place of work and residence and political party affiliation, as well as their photo. PECs also must place information posters explaining voting procedures and responsibilities for violating the parliamentary election law. Information posters produced by the CEC and placed by PECs inside or in front of the polling station are not considered to be campaigning. 36
